Database of Member Organisations

PECE membership is a unique multisectoral group of organisations from the UK and EECCA region that are committed to working in collaboration on issues of environment and development in the EECCA region.

PECE members in the UK come from various sectors, contributing their expertise and skills to our common goal:

Public Sector: Government can help support partnerships by acting as a catalyst for the initiation of new projects and supporting delivery through its international presence. Local government and other public sector agencies can support capacity building by sharing their direct experience of implementation. Public sector members include Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), Environment Agency and National School of Government.

Private Sector: The initiative can help businesses to engage with the communities in which they work or plan to work and help create healthy and sustainable conditions in which they can continue to operate successfully. The partnership can help business to deliver corporate social responsibility programmes which have real and broad impact, are sustainable and have the potential to be replicated and scaled up. Private sector members include Shell, Scott Wilson and Golder Associates.

Civil society: Civil society is an important contributor to the strength of the partnership, bringing expert knowledge and practical experience of project design and implementation within this region. Many NGOs have direct in-country knowledge and can act as a bridge to locally based groups and communities whose enthusiasm and commitment will often be critical to successful implementation and sustainability. Civil society members include Royal Society for Protection of Birds, Groundwork UK and Living Earth Foundation.

PECE partner organisations in the EECCA region operate in the following 12 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
