As you know, there have been big changes to the PECE initiative in the last twelve months. PECE membership survey (Spring 2007) showed that many of our members wanted PECE to continue acting as a broker for environmental collaboration between members through facilitating networking and information sharing, identifying and bringing in a wider range of EECCA partner organisation and UK/European donors, and actively looking for joint project opportunities.

Acting on these wishes and requirements, we are embarking on various new initiatives, including developing proposals for joint projects for the EECCA region on identified priority areas of climate change, biodiversity and SCP, extending and strengthening our partnership base in the EECCA and developing improved online platforms.

We are looking for contributions from you for these initiatives. Specifically, we would like to hear from you on the following:

  • Do you have an interesting report or news item on your work to environmental matters in the EECCA that might be of interest to other PECE members? We can help you to communicate your information to other organisations with similar interests.
  • Are you considering a new project in the EECCA region and looking for partners? PECE will try to identify and put you in touch with organisations in the region to work with you.
  • Have you come across any organisations both in the UK and EECCA that we should approach for PECE membership?
  • Any general thoughts and ideas on how PECE can advance significant and lasting changes in the field of environmental cooperation in the EECCA.

If you have an idea for a PECE project and/or wish to work in partnership with a PECE member, you can either:

  • Submit an expression of interest form with details of your organisation, areas of interest and experience and any ideas for PECE projects to PECE Secretariat
  • Contact a PECE member or EECCA partner directly to discuss possible opportunities - see PECE directory for contact information
